Description A photo of the opening day of the new Modern News location in downtown Swift Current, 1952. The old location was in the zero block of Central Avenue on the west side, with the new location being on the 100 block of Central Avenue on the east side. Inside the store shelves of various products are visible lining a wall. Modern News was owned by William Chew.
