Description A photo of the opening day of the new Modern News location in downtown Swift Current, 1952. The old location was in the zero block of Central Avenue on the west side, with the new location being on the 100 block of Central Avenue on the east side. A large group of people are waiting outside a store selling "Giftware Novelties Magazine". Modern News was owned by William Chew.
