Swift Current Schools Postcard
Pièce d'archives
1990.6.34
A postcard with a composite image of three schools. The school on the left is Swift Current's one room school built in the early 1890s from part of the first school house, which was a railway boxcar. The building on the right is the two roomed school built in 1904. The center building is the concrete four roomed school which opened in 1907; this school was originally called Central School and later S.C.C.I., which was part of the W.A. Beatty Collegiate Institute until 1975.
The caption on the postcard reads "Swift Current grows. Schools." and is addressed to the post mistress at Waldeck. ~root~>
