Lid to carved wooden box (see 78.1.210b). Lid does not fit properly and is removable. Dark brown box, polished look, with abstract ornate carving. Rectangular shingle-like pieces around border of lid. Lid is carved to have what appears to be a peacock angled on the top left corner, surrounded below by two plants curved outwards with leaves along stem and round ends with grid carving inside. Carving, appears to be a vegetable like a turnip, in the bottom right corner of lid angled towards top left corner. Has bulb at bottom, stem with diagonal grid pattern and leafy part on top. Board underneath carving is a light brown with tiny holes throughout.
