Memorial Park Cenotaph Postcard
Pièce d'archives
1994.7.12
An unused postcard on the Cenotaph, a stone monument, in Memorial Park. The title of the postcard is "Springtime in Central Park, Swift Current, Sask." These cards were distributed by Bradbrooke's Drugs in Swift Current, which opened in 1954, "Natural Color Card From Kodachrome."
The cenotaph was unveiled on November 11, 1927 by L.G. H.W. Newlands. It was erected at the cost of $10000 raised by a special committee which Charles Thoreson was secretary-treasurer of. The fund was subscribed to by all surrounding communities on a quota basis. ~root~>
