Description 14th Canadian Hussars hat badge, bears an image of a bucking horse and the motto "Free & Fearless". The 14th Canadian Hussars existed from 1920 to 1940 and was the forerunner of the 8th Reconnaissance Regiment. Likely worn by Dr J P Whyte, who was a dentist during WWII and a member of the 14th Canadian Light Horse militia before WWII. Whyte was a dentist in Swift Current, at least from 1923 to c.1939.
