Shako, tall hat with straight sides and a flat top, likely worn in a marching band, brass hatband with an eagle on the front, leather chin strap fastened with two buttons bearing crossed rifles, front of hat bears an emblem of an eagle carrying two swords perched atop a crest bearing the motto "Laborare Ludere Orare" (work hard, play hard, pray hard), small slot on top of crown in which to insert a feather. Was "used from 1920 to 1924 by Ridge Booker at Saint John's Military Academy [now Saint John's Northwestern Military Academy] in Delafield, Wisconsin." Black with a gold emblem.

Tag reads "Jacob Reed's Sons // Founded 1824 // Philadelphia" and a sticker says "7 1/4".
