Description A photo of the cenotaph in Memorial Park in Swift Current, built 1927. The cenotaph is a local war monument, unveiled November 11, 1927 by L.G. H.W. Newlands. It was erected at the cost of $10 000, which was raised by a special committee of which Charles Thoreson was the secretary-treasurer. The fund was subscribed to by all surrounding communities on a quota basis.
