It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "1" backwards. The relief appears to be varnished or buffed and carved by machine due to the lack of errors and overall consistency. The relief is orange with patches of red and black. The carved portion is red and black underneath which is evident because the paint is extensively chipping and peeling off. The back is stained black with curved, raised line across the entire surface.
