Artefact

King, Andrew
It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "9" backwards. About a quarter of the block has been broken off. The rest of the remaining relief is buffed or varnished and has been carved by machine due to the lack of errors and overall consistency. The relief is stained orange with black/brown scratches and marks of burgundy an red ink. The back is brown, black and with red patches. And had raised curved vertical lines across surface.
