It is a rectangular block of wood with a craved relief o the number "2" backwards. The relief surface does not appear to be stained with ink and only discoloured with age and dirt. It appears to be carved by machine due to the consistency and lack of errors. The back is stained with wood stain with creates a deeper colour. There are water marks on the left side and has faded black marks of ink.
