It is a rectangular wood block with a carved relief of the letter "Y". The surface of the relief is stained black with small areas of red and teal ink. The relief surface appears to be polished or buffed. Other surface is stained with red and black ink. The shape of the "Y" is odd. The sides are curved and the v shaped dip of the "Y" is shallow. The old accession number is on the bottom edge on a sticker. On the back the top edge is stained with red and black ink. There are also drops, smudges, strokes and horizontal faded lines of ink. There are also remnants of glued paper on the back.
