Tunic from the Tuareg region in Northern Africa, purchased in Southern Sahara or Northern Ghana in 1939-40, long sleeves, closed only around waist, deep neckline, bottom half is open at front and back, woven from raw cotton, striped different shades of blue and grey. More Tuareg clothing is 1971.3.1-2, and 3b, matching trousers.
