*Picture Block* Rectangular tongue and groove wood block. Front: stained dark blue and is mostly recessed using a circular headed tool. The stain is concentrated on and immediately surrounding the relief sections. Bottom 2/3 is recessed with a 2.4cm thick border 48.1cm across the bottom and rising 44.7cm up left and right sides. The top 1/3 is relief wood with recessed details and a cutout in the center (through the entire block). Cutout begins 15.7cm from the left edge and 3.2cm down from the top edge and measures 16.2cm wide by 18.9cm long. Surrounding the cutout is a shield shape relief design 23cm wide by 23cm long (widest and longest points) with 0.8cm linear grooved area (recessed) to define it. To the left and right of the shield are 4 rectangular shapes measuring (total)--left 13.1cm wide by 10cm long and right--13.7cm wide by 10cm long. A 0.5cm linear groove provides definition around and in between rectangles. At the very top is a 1cm recessed line acting as the top border. Sides: Plain wood with ink stains near the front edges and in the wood grains Back: 4 strips of paper 7.5cm long by 48.1cm wide, with a 5th removed, beginning at the bottom edge. 2 cuts 1.5cm long at each corner of the cutout making right angles. Ink stains on the paper, outer edges and in the wood grain (mostly blue but there is some red as well).~root~>
