*Picture Block* Tongue and groove joined rectangular wood block. This is the third block in a four part series. Front: Block front has been stained red. The first two sections of this block are an elaboration on blocks 2015.1.166a&b. The top 11cm of this block is another outline of the word "FAIR" as was in block b. On either side of the animals are 2 relief vertical rectangles measuring 5cm wide by 9.5cm long, beginning 11cm down from the top corners. The bottom section is entirely recessed measuring 31cm wide by 20.1cm long, except for a 3.5cm long by 18.5cm wide section in the middle at the top where the animal relief design extends into this area. The block has 0.6cm wide border at the edges, which widens slightly to form the letter outlines at the top of the block. Sides: plain wood with residual ink stains in the wood grain and near the block front. Back: strip of brown paper has been glued across the bottom. "No. 42" has been stamped in the upper center of the block. Ink stains in the wood grain and around the edges.
