*Picture Block* Second block in a four part series. Tongue and groove joined rectangular block. It has an arc cut out measuring 32cm wide by 3.5cm long/tall in the center of the curve. Front: Stained red. Mostly recessed with relief areas providing detail on the image depicted in 2015.1.165a. Top left corner has the head of a horse 5cm wide by 6cm long. There is no detailing for the ferris wheel, however, there are numerous lines and triangles across the bottom curve that detail the carousel and other tents. Stain is concentrated to relief wood. Sides: residual stain and ink stains in the wood grain Back: "Red" has been written and underlined in black crayon/pencil crayon. Ink stains in the wood grain. "No.48" is stamped in purple in the upper right corner, partially covered by an attached piece of brown paper. Some residual red stain marks.

Notes: Height refers to the thickness of the block; width measures the longest distance horizontally, and length measures the longest distance vertically.


"Red" is handwritten on the back in black crayon (?). "No 48" stamped in purple in the upper right corner on the back, but it is partially covered by an attached piece of brown paper.
