Stone Flake - Pambrun, Saskatchewan (1976)

Artefact

1976
Stone flake. The bottom is mostly flat, and the top is mounded at one end. The flake is unevenly shaped, and all edges are relatively sharp. This flake was possibly used as a scraper to scrape or clean materials like animal hide or wood. However, the jagged edges complicate this, as scrapers typically have quite flat or rounded edges. It may have also been in the process of being formed into another type of tool, but was not quite finished.
