*Picture Block* Linoleum nailed to the plywood . Front: block is mostly recessed leaving a relief border 1.5cm wide on all edges. Block has 2 sections cut out from the lino: the first cutout is at the top of the block on a diagonal beginning 5.0cm down from the top right (recessed) corner, measuring 19cm long (right side), 25cm wide (bottom) 14cm long (left side) and 25 cm wide (top). Surrounding this cutout is a 1cm recessed area with lino cuts followed by a second relief border approximately 0.3cm wide. Then surrounding this small border out to the first main border is a recessed area of lino cuts. A final relief design begins 3.5cm from the left edge and 13.5cm from the bottom edge and outlines the bottom portion of a star (5.5cm by 5.5cm). The final cutout in the bottom half is a rectangular shape 29.2cm wide by 11cm long, with essentially another rectangle cutout by the top right half (22.5cm wide by 3.5cm long) to form one cutout. Surrounding this cutout is another recessed area (about 1cm) with lino cuts. Non-original stain is present on all sides of the block, epecially in cutout areas. Back: paper attached to the left, top, and bottom edges. "Blue" is handwritten in the center.
