Artefact

2015.1.60
Rectangular solid wood block. Front: stained red. The block is mostly raised except for two triangular sections that have been carved out. Measuring from the bottom left corner the first triangle is 65.5cm wide, 50cm long/tall and the diagonal top is 82cm long, making it a right triangle. The second triangle is also a right triangle but upsidedown; the top is 17.5cm wide, 16cm long and the diagonal bottom is 24cm . The red stain of the block is more concentrated in the small triangle and the top edge of the bottom triangle. Back: residual red stain mostly on the outer edges. Right center section has pencilled arrow pointing right and "7/2" written below it. The red stain is also present on the outer edges.
Wood (basswood or pine)
Longueur: 101.5 cm; Largeur: 65.5 cm; Hauteur: 2.2 cm;
Notes: Numbers listed are the maximum measurements in each category. The height measurement refers to the thickness of the wood block. The measurement of the width measures the distance across the block; the length measures from top to bottom and is the longest measurement of the three.

Arrow on the back and what appears to be "7/2" on the back in pencil.
