Projectile point, likely made of quartzite. The point has a slightly concave base, side notches, and outwardly rounded edges up to the tip. The very tip and part of the base are broken off. The point was collected on SE35-16-14-W3 in September 1985.
Given its shape and size, this point is likely an arrowhead. The bow and arrow became popular in the Late Period, which took place around 2,000 to 300 years before present (BP). This particular arrowhead most closely resembles Plains Side-Notched points from 450 to 250 years before present.~root~>
