Metal buttonhook. A blue and pink bird is painted on an off-white plastic handle. The long metal piece has a small hook on the end, which is used for fastening buttons onto clothing and shoes. A phrase from the donor that pertains to the object, "The buttonhook and cosmetic cases were in a set I get by selling chocolates. You can imagine my disappointment when it arrived in 1929."
