Stereoscopic card for a stereoscope. The card bears two almost identical photographs, which appear three-dimensional when the image is viewed through a stereoscope. The image was taken during the Boer War, and is of a man looking at a city in the distance. The caption reads: "Scene of Gen. White's long heroic defense, Ladysmith - looking from Devonshire Hill to Caesar's Hill - S.A.", and "Copyright 1901 by Underwood & Underwood" is printed under the caption.
