Canadian Army Jacket

Military jacket, hip-length, five medals on ribbon bar, each shoulder bears a crown pin and a brass "Canada" pin, brass buttons contain the text "Canada" as well as the phrase "Honi soit qui mal y pense" (shame upon him who thinks evil of it). Each shoulder bears a patch that is a white crest with a blue cross and a yellow sword, a formation badge of the Second Army (United Kingdom) which contained Canadian units in I Corps and possibly others. Possibly as part of the 3rd Canadian Division. Accompanying pants are 2010.34.24b.
According to donor, this uniform belonged to Dr J P Whyte, but the label in the pocket says Lt. H E (Harry Ernest?) Ford.
Dr. J.P. Whyte was a dentist in Swift Current, at least from 1923 to c.1939.
