Description A composite of the 1923 - 1924 graduating class from the Swift Current Normal School. A note written on the back reads: "In 1924 due to the shortage of teachers with so many rural school, the Department of Education had a short course in teaching in Swift Current and other centers. They were grade 11 & 12 students. They received a temporary certificate. Edith (Emond) Morrissette was one of these trainees." From left to right, top to bottom, the students are as follows: James A Ross, Kathleen Handford (President), Lois Baker, Jeanette H. Kruse, Edna Quirk, Emma Jorgenson (Secretary), Franklin Fowke, Janet A. Smith, Rachel Bisal, Insp. W.S. Cram (Asst. Principal), Ida Jensen, Insp. C.E. Brown (Principal), Janet Gold, Thelma Fitzgerald, Elmer Houdestad, Daisy M. Herron, Elizabeth Jorgenson, Edith Emond, Marian Dow, and Grant Schriver.
